- What is sin?
- The original understanding of sin was “missing the mark.”
- There are different kinds of sin, so sin can be actions as well as thoughts.
- Why does God hate sin?
- God hates sin because it hurts us and separates us from Him (Romans 6:23; Isaiah 59:2).
- How do we deal with sin?
- The apostle Paul wrote to his friend Timothy about how to deal with sin and gave some really great advice: “Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts” (2 Timothy 2:22).
