What’s a “[email protected]” Group?
The CDC has asked people to not be in groups of more than 10 people in order to keep the virus from spreading. We see the need to adhere to this as best as possible however we also know the need for biblical fellowship especially during times like this and so we are setting up for you host homes throughout the greater Hazleton area where you can have church on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am with other believers. There will be a list on the website where you can sign up for the group of your choosing until that group fills up. You can also call the church office and we will help sign you up.
Also, our children’s pastor has prepared a children’s service that your kids can be a part of on Sunday as well.
Greetings Faith Family!
Greetings Faith Family! It is our hope and prayer you are doing well. From the staff at Faith Church, we wanted to take time to encourage you because of all the things that are happening in our nation due to COVID-19.
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety(cares) on God because he cares for you.”
In a time of rapidly changing information, let the first place we run be to God and His word. Don’t respond or react out of fear or panic. It’s not uncommon or “faithless” to experience anxiety. Peter encourages us when we do feel that way, don’t run or hide. Walk boldly to the throne to receive grace in our time of need’.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
As Christians, it is our privilege, our right, even our duty to be beacons of hope and peace in times of distress. Our prayer is that you may abound in faith and love, so that all may see by the manner you conduct your lives the power of Christ.
As we cautioned you on Sunday, we do not want you to be unaware of what’s going on, rather we encourage you to be properly informed. However, don’t rely on social media or other platforms, rather turn to the CDC and Department of Health. These websites are updated consistently with developments and facts, not fear or rumors.
Because of the recommendations on gatherings and social distancing from Government and health officials; we will be suspending all extra-curricular church events until April 1st.
Crossover Youth will shortly be launching an online group for students as a sort of “online youth group” A place to still grow in scripture and have some fun while school’s are suspended. Stay tuned for that, let your students know, and contact Pastor Dj for more info. Also, look for something from our children’s ministry soon.
For at-risk persons, those who are sick, and shut-ins, if you are in need of anything please contact the church so we may see how we can assist you. If anyone would like prayer, don’t hesitate to call. (570-459-2410)
Our love and prayers are with you all. Please take this time to continue to grow in your faith and trust in the Lord and be a witness to our communities by your life and words. God bless you! Hope to see you on Sunday!
