Administrative Pastor

Art and Cindy Riddle raised their three children in the Hazleton area during the past 25 years.  Art enjoys listening to jazz and refinishing antique furniture, but his primary “hobby” has mostly been church activities. 

 

After growing up in Allentown Pennsylvania, Art graduated from Penn State University with a major in Psychology.  After working in the Philadelphia region in sales and sales management, he returned to school and secured degrees in financial accounting, as well as a Masters in Business Administration.  He eventually became a corporate CEO, and most recently worked as a

management/marketing consultant and part-time college professor. 

 

After being completely convinced they were going to leave the area to relocate closer to their children, Art and Cindy’s lives were changed by Art’s call into full time ministry in mid 2003.  “Although I had been very active in the workings of the church, serving as head usher, teacher and elder, I never imagined the remotest possibility of working in full time ministry.”

 

Now Art serves as Administrative Pastor at Faith Assembly, a position involving finance and overall facility operations, as well as teaching, counseling, outside visitation and responsibility for lay ministry leaders.   Regarding qualifications for ministry, Art says, “Everything I have ever done in my career, from outside sales, to running businesses, managing construction projects and teaching, has ultimately prepared me for this new career.  And ironically, I am back in school again, this time for additional ministry training.”    

 

Years ago God ultimately had a plan to use him, and Art considers it an honor and a privilege to serve God by “being there” for the people in the church and the local community.
